Program Description
This educational activity reviews best practices for a 68-year-old female who presents to her primary care provider with bilateral knee osteoarthritis. Approaches to the diagnosing and treatment of the patient will be discussed, as well as strategies for identifying risks for potential opioid misuse and abuse.
Intended Audience
Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, podiatrists and other health care providers who care for patients with pain and employ opioid analgesics as a pain mitigation strategy.
