Overcoming Barriers to Equitable Care for Patients with Multiple Myeloma
Overview

Intended Audience: Community-based teams caring for patients with MM, including physicians, PAs/NPs, and nurses specializing in hematology/oncology

A recent quality improvement initiative conducted in community oncology systems revealed common barriers to individualizing multiple myeloma patient care, including lack of documented cytogenetic testing results, low minority enrollment in clinical trials, and suboptimal shared decision-making. In this case-based symposium, multidisciplinary experts in multiple myeloma share findings from the study and strategies to overcome identified barriers, including approaches for incorporating the latest safety and efficacy data into patient care.

Don't miss the opportunity to:

  • Apply the lessons learned from this NEW study into your oncology practice
  • Hear expert insights on the latest clinical trial data and approaches to individualized treatment planning

If you are in the Atlanta, GA area and would like to attend the live meeting, register here.

Learning Objectives
  • Assess current practice patterns and barriers to evidence-based, equitable, patient-centered care for adults with multiple myeloma (MM)
  • Integrate tools and resources to guide personalized treatment decision-making based on clinical and molecular features, current guidelines, and patient goals and preferences
