Intended Audience: Community-based teams caring for patients with MM, including physicians, PAs/NPs, and nurses specializing in hematology/oncology
A recent quality improvement initiative conducted in community oncology systems revealed common barriers to individualizing multiple myeloma patient care, including lack of documented cytogenetic testing results, low minority enrollment in clinical trials, and suboptimal shared decision-making. In this case-based symposium, multidisciplinary experts in multiple myeloma share findings from the study and strategies to overcome identified barriers, including approaches for incorporating the latest safety and efficacy data into patient care.
