Johnathan Schaffir, MD

Dr. Schaffir is an associate professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Schaffir received his M.D. in 1990 at Brown University.He completed his residency in 1994 at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. His major research and clinical interests include sexual health, obstetrical folklore and psycho-social ob/gyn. He has published 18 articles and 6 book chapters and authored/edited 1 book.
Learning Objectives
After attending this lecture, learners should be able to:
1) Identify a differential diagnosis for common adnexal masses
2) Discuss the indications for surgical intervention for the adnexal mass
3) Describe different methods for distinguishing benign from malignant masses
4) Discuss special considerations in the management of adnexal masses for menopausal women, adolescents and pregnant women
