Program Description
In the face of the well-documented crisis of opioid abuse, misuse and diversion, choosing appropriate analgesics while mitigating the risks associated with opioids is a national imperative. Education that increases awareness of these risks and drives optimal approaches to pain management among all caregivers is needed to help hospitals and health systems lead their communities toward better patient outcomes. During this educational activity, expert faculty will present all elements of the FDA’s Opioid Analgesic REMS Education Blueprint to a multidisciplinary learner audience at New York Presbyterian Queens hospital in order to help learners optimize approaches to pain management and avoid potential pitfalls associated with opioid use in their patients.
Intended Audience
