Presenter
Jeffery Johnson. M.D.

Dr. Johnson is the Chairman in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. He received his medical degree in 1993 from Boston University School of Medicine. In 1998 he completed his residency at Boston Medical Center, and in 2001 he completed the MFM Fellowship at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. His major clinical and research interests include premature delivery, prenatal diagnosis and infectious diseases. He has published 32 articles and 4 book chapters
Learning Objectives
1. Describe the terminology associated with the types of birth defects, and multiple congenital anomalies.
2. Describe types of medical and environmental teratogens.
3. Describe the gestational age of exposure and risks to organs/organ systems of the developing fetus.
4. List common environmental toxicants and impacts on the female reproductive system.
