Description
This session starts with a discussion by Paul Whelton, MB, MD, MSc, chair of the writing committee for the 2017 ACC/AHA Hypertension Guidelines, where the process and considerations of developing the new guidelines are discussed. It also includes presentations on the detection of white coat hypertension and the management of secondary and resistant hypertension. The session concludes with a discussion on managing hypertension in patients with comorbidities and in different racial and ethnic groups.
